OPPO Find X2 officially teased, to launch soon

OPPO Find X

OPPO did not launch any Find series smartphone in 2019. In fact, the company had confirmed that the Find X2 would be delayed. Now since yesterday was the last day of 2019, Oppo’s Vice President and President of Global Marketing, Brian Shen wished everyone a happy new year in advance with #FindX2 on Weibo. Additionally, the founder and CEO of OPPO, Chen Mingyong once again confirmed the launch of Find X2 in an interview today. And thus, we can expect the teasers of the phone to start dropping in the coming weeks.

Oppo’s Find series of smartphones is well-known for its innovation. We see 1080p displays on almost all smartphones these days but it all started with the Oppo Find 5 in 2013. Later in 2014, the company launched the Find 7A which was the base for the original OnePlus One. Unfortunately, the company did not announce any Find series phone until the Find X in 2018. Four years of gap brought a ton of improvements including a bezel-less display, motorized pop-up face authentication system, and a whopping 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge fast charging technology.

Gizchina News of the week

Now after a hiatus of one year, the next OPPO Find series phone named Find X2 as confirmed by the company will bring improvements in display and camera departments. At the end of the OPPO INNO Day event which was held last month in Shenzen, the company revealed the Find X2 to be unveiled in Q1 2020 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and Snapdragon X55 modem to support both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks. It will feature a better display than any other smartphone with better colours, dynamic range, and refresh rate. Oppo has even partnered with Sony to bring its new ‘2 x 2 On-chip Lens Solution’ to provide better low-light and focus performance. Additionally, we can even expect the new in-screen camera which was demoed by the company at the same event.

Anyways, we are sure OPPO will soon drop teasers of the Find X2 as the same has already begun by the company’s CEO and VP. We are not sure when it will be launched but going by the time frame mentioned by the company, it will either debut at MWC 2019 or after that.
