Motorola has just announced that the Motorola Razr, the world’s first clamshell foldable phone flagship, will be up for pre-orders in the US on January 26th and that it will officially start shipping on February 6th; the Motorola Razr will sell for $ 1,500.
Motorola RAZR Pre-Orders Kick Off on January 26th, Ships Starts on February 6th
The Motorola Razr was initially released in the United States in November of 2019, but due to market demand and supply issues, the sale of the product has been delayed; both in the US and globally.
Motorola’s parent company – Lenovo – previously disclosed the progress of the Chinese version via Liu Jun, the executive vice president of Lenovo Group and president of China. He did indeed reveal that the Motorola Razr may be released in the Chinese market at the end of the second quarter of this year.
Hardware wise, the Motorola Razr packs a small 2.7 inches screen on the outside in the folded state with a resolution of 800 × 600. On the inside, we instead find a 6.2-inch folding screen with a resolution of 2142 × 876. It’s worth mentioning that there’s also a quite large bezel under the display; which is also where we find the fingerprint scanner. Motorola’s smartphone is then powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, adopts Android 9 Pie operating system, sports 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and packs a battery with a capacity of 2510mAh.
