We’re still some days away from the official launch of the Oppo Find X2, however, the company keeps the hype alive with a series of teasers. The phone was originally scheduled for February 22 in an event held during the canceled MWC. Now, that it has been postponed the company wants to keep it on headlines until the launch day. The latest teaser focuses on the screen. One of the hottest trends in the industry right now involves smartphone displays, and the Oppo Find X2 won’t be an exception. The display will actually be one of the main selling points of the handset.
The video below is a combination of three short clips. Each one puts a specific feature in focus. It starts with the 120Hz refresh rate, it’s something that is very common right now in 2020 flagships. The middle clip promises 1 billion colors, which is another way of stating that the display includes HDR10 support. The third clip focuses on motion compensation. It’s the high frame rate mode found on some TVs.
According to Brian Shen, CEO of Oppo, the screen will go up to 1,200 nits of brightness in HDR mode. Oppo is definitely betting high on the flagship’s display. It will be one of the main selling points, but we do know that the Oppo Find X2 isn’t all about display. According to reports, the handset will boast Snapdragon 865, a big battery with a brand new fast-charging technology.
