OPPO Watch to use a 1.91-inch hyperbolic flexible screen & 100% DCI-P3 color gamut

A few days ago, OPPO officially announced the launch date of its new OPPO Watch series. According to the company, this product will be launched worldwide on March 6. Today, the company revealed that the OPPO Watch will come with a 1.91-inch hyperbolic flexible screen as well as a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Furthermore, the hyperbolic flexible screen has a 326ppi pixel density. The official slogan for this watch is “the beauty of technology, more than one side”.

OPPO Watch official poster

From the official poster of this watch, the metal frame contains two bar-like buttons and the watch uses a silicone strap. We expect this smartwatch series to have two body color schemes, black, and gold. In addition, the smartwatch interface shows that OPPO Watch supports the e-sim call function. OPPO’s first smartwatch will probably arrive with the OPPO Find X2. At present, there is no more information about this OPPO smartwatch.

Oppo Watch Series

Recently, Shen Yiren showcased a promo poster for the Oppo watch series. The poster shows that the OPPO smartwatch uses a rounded rectangular design. According to the company’s executive, a rectangular dial is better than a circular dial as it can display more information. However, he also mentioned that a circular dial has a better design since it looks like a traditional watch. Earlier, Shen Yiren also pointed out that OPPO smartwatches use a flexible screen and curved surface design.

One of the selling points of this smartwatch will be the built-in ECG. The most popular wearables with this feature are the Apple Watch Series 5, the Samsung Galaxy Active 2, Withings Move ECG and the Amazfit Verge. That’s why we believe that while ECG is cool, OPPO will add more features to the package to make it more useful for the competition.
