Google Pixel Buds 3 surface in patent listing

Google’s Pixel Buds series has been around for quite some time. However, we’ve only seen one product reaching the market. This year, however, we may finally see the second generation of these truly wireless earbuds. It took three years for Google to finally prepare the second model, but apparently, this won’t happen with the third generation. A new patent filed with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) by Google revealed the design of the Pixel Buds 3.

Gizchina News of the week

Judging by what we already know about Buds 2, we can see that the next-gen product will be smaller. Moreover, there are no fins and ear tips anymore. It’s closer to the first generation in terms of design. The design is smaller and ergonomic, but take in mind that this is just a patent right now and the final product can be slightly different.

As aforementioned that’s just a patent right now. There’s no guarantee that this specific product will hit the market. For now, fans of Google TWS earbuds should keep tuned on the second-gen. It already passed Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications hinting a close release. According to the company, they’ll be priced at $179. Among the features, we’ll see Google Assistant support, Wireless Charging, and fast pairing. Unfortunately, there’s no exact launch date for them, but we’ll know more in the coming days.
