Huawei has begun recruiting users to EMUI 10.1 beta for several devices in some selected countries and in the meantime, the company has released a new EMUI update for the latest Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ devices. The update brings the new AI 50MP high-resolution camera mode alongside new features.
AI 50MP Mode
The update is available for the aforementioned devices in China. The new AI 50MP mode boosts image quality with artificial intelligence to make them much sharper and more detailed. If you take a photo when this mode is active, the camera will take several images for three seconds, as with night mode, and thus recompose an image in very high resolution.
To show how much this mode improves image capture, Huawei Central took a few shots (which you can see below) at a certain distance with and without this new mode. We see that in case of zoom, the details are actually much sharper, and the text more readable.
