Chinese manufacturer, Honor, will announce the Honor X10 on May 20. Presently, there are numerous leaks and speculations on this device. The latest speculation is from popular Weibo leakster, Digital Chat Station. He recently released a real image of this smartphone which shows us the front and rear design of this device.
Looking at the images, the Honor X10 does not have any openings (notch or punch-hole) on the display. This is because it uses a pop-up camera solution for the front camera. Furthermore, the device comes with a narrow screen. This significantly increases its screen-to-body ratio. On the rear, there is a matrix camera module that holds its quad-rear camera setup. Furthermore, the Weibo post also listed the following features for the Honor X10
- 90Hz refresh rate
- Kirin 820
- 4300mAh battery
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- no NFC
- USB Type-C
- Four colours (black, silver, blue and burnt orange)
- glass body
- Side fingerprint sensor
- 6GB+64GB version will be available
- Starting price of 1899 yuan ($267) (this seem to be a guess from him though)
According to previous reports, the Honor X10 will use a Kirin 820 5G SoC, supporting up to 9 5G frequency bands. Most 5G smartphones support a maximum of 5 5G frequency bands. Thus, the Honor X10 is offering almost double the usual.
This smartphone will also come with a 180Hz touch sampling rate as well as a 60Hz screen refresh rate (90Hz for the Pro model). According to reports, it will have a built-in 4200 mAh battery that supports a 22.5W fast charge. It will also use a side fingerprint sensor.
In the camera department, this series uses an IMX600y sensor (same model as the Mate 30, 40MP RYYB) main camera. Among other things, the Honor X10 Pro also offers an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (120° field of view), 8MP telephoto lens (5x optical zoom support), and OIS anti-shake support.
Honor X10 price speculation
This upcoming smartphone will be available in four versions. We will have 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. These smartphones will sell for 2299 yuan ($324), 2599 yuan ($366), 2899 yuan ($409), and 3199 yuan ($451) respectively.
