Earlier today, Infinix expanded its budget smartphone portfolio in the Indian market by adding two more devices. The Hong-Kong based company launched two devices namely Infinix Hot 9 and Infinix Hot 9 Pro. As the name suggests, the new lineup is a successor to the previous Hot 8 device. With these devices, the smartphone maker is offering a punch-hole display along with quad cameras in an affordable price segment. Here is everything you need to know about both the new devices.
Infinix Hot 9 and 9 Pro: Price in India, Availability
Both Infinix Hot 9 and 9 Pro comes in a single memory configuration featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard memory. The former comes with a price tag of INR 8,499 (i.e. $112) while the latter will set you back INR 9,499 (i.e. $125). As expected, the devices will be up for grabs via Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce platform.
Talking about the availability, the regular variant will go on sale starting from June 5 with the bigger siblings on June 8. The sale will kickstart at 12 PM for both the devices.
Infinix Hot 9:
Talking about the Hot 9 first, we’re looking at a 6.6-inch display panel with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Furthermore, the display comes with a maximum brightness level of 480 nits. As mentioned earlier, the display also has a punch-hole cutout located on the top left corner housing selfie camera. Under the hood, the device runs on Helio P22 chipset paired with IMG PowerVR GE 8320 GPU. We already talked about the memory configuration earlier. The onboard memory is further expandable via an external microSD card.
For optics, there is a quad-camera module featuring 13MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro, and a low-light sensor. The module is accompanied by a triple LED flash as well. For selfies, there is an 8MP front snapper inside the notch. Thankfully, we still have the fingerprint sensor on the back.
Infinix Hot 9 Pro:
The Pro variant is also equipped with the same display panel featuring the same resolution and technical details. It even runs on the same chipset and comes in the same memory configuration. The difference here is in the camera module. The quad rear module of the pro variant features 48MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro lens, and finally a low-light sensor. For selfies, we still have the same 8MP shooter.
Both the devices run on Android 10 with XOS 6.0 custom skin on top. Lasty, the devices make use of a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
