Vivo is really interested in increasing its offers in the mid-range smartphone as another device from the company bearing Snapdragon 675 was spotted at the GeekBench database. The device in question bears Vivo 2004 codename and has been certified recently in Singapore and Russia. Now, it’s paying a visit to the GeekBench database with Snapdragon 675 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and Android 10 in tow.
Interestingly enough, this combo of specifications is pretty familiar among Vivo smartphones. There are no less than nine different variants with the same features.
The new handset scored 552 points in the single-core tests and 1,703 points on the Multi-Core tests on the GeekBench 5.x platform. The results are pretty much on par with other Snapdragon 675 smartphones. This is one of the best Qualcomm chipsets released last year, but unfortunately, many companies opted for the Snapdragon 665 instead. Since there are several Vivo smartphones with these specifications the new device could be a variation of the Vivo Z5i / Vivo U20 / Vivo U3. However, another guess is that Vivo is relaunching the Vivo V19 Neo under a fourth different name. It is sold as Vivo V19 in Indonesia or Vivo V17 in India. What it has in tow?
VIVO V19 NEO SPECIFICATIONS
The Vivo V19 Neo, or Vivo V19 or Vivo V17 (Yeah, Vivo’s naming scheme is a mess) is a mid-range smartphone with solid specifications. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 675 SoC. The chipset features six power efficient Kyro 460 Silver cores clocked at 1.8GHz. In addition, we have two Kyro 460 Gold cores clocked at 2.0GHz. There is an Adreno 612GPU to ensure graphical tasks.
The handset has 8GB of RAM, just like the Vivo 2004, and 128GB of Storage. It flaunts a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Ultra O display with FHD+ resolution. The Ultra-O stands for the top-right aligned punch hole housing a 32MP selfie snapper. Moreover, the selfie camera offers support for Super Night Mode and Super Night Selfie Features. The display also has a fingerprint scanner placed underneath.
Moving around to the back, the V19 Neo has a L-shaped Quad-Camera comprising a 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor modules. All the advanced camera features, like Super Night Mode, will be present in the rear camera as well. The handset has a nice design featuring a gradient and metallic finish on the back.
The handset draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging. It runs Android 10 with FunTouch OS 10 on top. The specs are really familiar to the device spotted on GeekBench. For now, we’re assuming that this another variant of this smartphone. The question is why?
