The One UI 2.5 update in India carries the firmware version G960FXXUCFTJ2/ G960FOXMCFTJ2/ G960FCCUCFTJ1 for Galaxy S9 duo. As you can see from the images above, the update weighs around 710 MB in size so you might want to download it over WiFi connectivity. Apart from the new features, the update also brings the October 2020 Android security patch.

As mentioned earlier, this update is rolling out for those who reside in India. If you own the Galaxy S9 device, then you might have already received the update notification. Alternatively, you can also download the update by heading over to Settings>>Softare Update>>Download and Install. It is worth noting that the update hasn’t made its way to the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone in the country as of now. We’re expecting that to happen in the coming days. Of course, we will keep our readers updated whenever that will happen.

What’s new in One UI 2.5 update?

The all-new One UI 2.5 update brings several features to the devices such as Wireless DeX support. By Wireless DeX, you can wirelessly use DeX on TVs through WiFi Direct. Screen Zoom and Font Size options are also now a part of the Wireless DeX experience. For WiFi, Samsung has added quality information – Very Fast, Fast, Normal, or Slow. You can now use Bitmoji stickers on Always On Display. There are few new additions to Samsung Keyboard as well. We’re looking at the ability to search YouTube videos using the search feature on the keyboard. For cameras, the Pro video has also been enhanced. Lastly, you will also be able to use the Key Cafe Good Lock module on your smartphone.

It looks like One UI 2.5 is the last major update for the two-year-old Galaxy S9 and Note 9 devices. This means that both the devices might not receive the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.0 software.
