Honor V40 5G protective case leaks – reveals its rear design


This morning, Honor officially announced that the Honor V40 5G new product launch conference will be held on January 18. While bringing the press conference information, Honor also revealed what the front of this phone looks like. We can clearly see the curved display on both edges of the phone. Furthermore, the pill-shaped punch-hole on the top left corner of the screen which would house its dual front camera is also visible. Now, @DigitalChatStation has revealed the rear of this smartphone.Ā

The leak which shows a protective case of the Honor V40 5G reveals the camera arrangement on the rear. Judging from the five openings exposed on the protective shell, Honor V40 should adopt a rear four-camera + flash design.

On December 31st, a new Honor model,Ā Honor YOK-AN10 (Honor V40), successfully passed the Rheinlandā€™s safe fast-charging certification. The certificate shows that Honor V40 will support wireless fast charging up to 50W. The Rheinland certification is the latest listing for the Honor V40 as its official launch draws closer.

According to a new offline poster that appeared on Weibo, the HonorV40 has commenced pre-sale. From the poster, we can see that the display of this phone has a large and attractive curvature. The poster also shows that pre-sale is active on all major offline stores.

The Honor V40 recently passed through TENAA and got a couple of other certifications. This raised speculations that the smartphone will launch soon. According to the network access certification, the Honor V40 comes with a standard Huawei HW-110600C0x charger. The charger supports up to 66W charge pump fast charging. In addition, this smartphone runs on the Android system but there is no confirmation if it supports GMS.

Recent speculation shows that the Honor V40 will come with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Thi chip is MediaTek’s most advanced chip so far. It also uses a 120Hz punch-hole curved screen with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, the smartphone supports 45W wireless fast charging and adopts a classic “dial” rear lens design.

In other respects, the V40 will use a 50-megapixel main camera while the Pro version will have three rear cameras. As for the Pro+ version, it will have four rear cameras. It will use a pill-shaped punch-hole which will have a 13MP camera as well as a depth of field lens.Ā This series will run Magic UI 4.0 + HMS based on Android 10.
