One Samsung app consumes a lot of battery power on Galaxy S21 Ultra

Open sales of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra have not yet begun, but some lucky ones have already received the flagship device in their hands. Youtubers and bloggers are testing the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and sharing their impressions. But these impressions are not always positive.

SamMobile bloggers have discovered an unpleasant problem for users of the SmartThings service. As it turned out, the SmartThings application, One UI 3.1 user interface and Galaxy S21 Ultra are not friends with each other. As a result, using SmartThings consumes a lot of battery power.

According to the source, for 8 hours of use in the background, the SmartThings application “ate” 14.6% of the battery and this is not normal at all. In a little less time (almost 7 hours), the second smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip, when used in the same scenario with the same SmartThings network of devices, lost only 0.1% of the charge “due to” the SmartThings application.

Samsung is currently taking orders for the Galaxy S21 Ultra in many countries around the world. In the first regions, open sales will begin on January 29.
