Samsung devices receive April Android security patch before Google Pixel – see full list


If you know a lot about Android security updates, you will know that it is customary for Pixel phones to get them first. However, this is not the case presently. Recent reports show that Samsung is already pushing updates containing April security patches. This update is currently rolling out to Samsung’s smartphones, tablets, and other devices. This is faster than Google’s official speed. Google is scheduled to push the update for Pixel phones from April 5th.

Samsung galaxy S21 Ultra

In addition to routine security patches, Samsung’s update also extends the scope of camera portrait mode. This update is for all the sensors. It is active for ultra-wide-angle lenses, telephoto lenses, as well as the main camera. The flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the first to get this update. This smartphone received this update as early as March 31st.

Samsung SmartTag Plus version released globally for $39,99
