The Chinese operator China Telecom has completely declassified the low-cost Oppo A35 smartphone, the sales of which will begin shortly. The handset will ship with ColorOS operating system based on Android 11.

The device carries on board the MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which combines eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz and the IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 4 GB. Buyers will be able to choose between versions with 64 and 128 GB of flash memory.

The 6.52-inch screen has a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels (HD + format). For the front-facing 8MP camera, there is a small hole in the upper left corner of the display.

A triple camera is available at the back. It includes a 13-megapixel main sensor and a pair of 2MP sensors. In addition, there is a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel.

The smartphone is enclosed in a case with dimensions of 164.48 × 75.86 × 9.8 mm; weight is about 209 g. A rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4230 mAh is in use. A 3.5mm headphone jack is avaialble. The device will be offered in Glaze Black, Ice Jade White and Foggy Sea Blue colors.

Oppo and Vivo will soon release smartphones with foldable displays

Chinese companies Oppo and Vivo, according to online sources, will soon place orders for the production of flexible displays for their first smartphones with a foldable design.

These are flexible OLED panels measuring about 7 to 8 inches diagonally, both of which can be folded inward. Thus, it can be assumed that devices in the format of a book are being prepared for release.

We know that Vivo foldable smartphone will have an 8-inch flexible screen. According to rumors, this smartphone will receive an articulated joint with a special design that ensures reliability and durability. There are no details about the flexible Oppo device yet.

Earlier, some reports point that this year Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi will introduce a total of four smartphones with flexible screens. Xiaomi has recently announced such a device – the Mi Mix Fold model, equipped with an 8-inch flexible panel. Thus, we can expect that very soon Oppo and Vivo will show their answer.

Meanwhile, DigiTmes reports that global shipments of flexible displays for smartphones could reach 12 million units this year. Demand for such panels will increase as the range of foldable devices expands.
