Vivo Y76s gets 3C certification with 18W fast-charging

Vivo launched a multitude of Y-series smartphones this year and is ready to bring more. According to new reports, the company will launch soon a smartphone carrying the Vivo Y76s moniker. The device recently passed by IMEI and CEIR India listings. Now, it has acquired China’s 3C certification. If you’re familiar with the Chinese certification process, you know that it is not very revealing when it comes to specs. The listing, however, confirms that the device will carry 18W fast-charging which effectively puts it on the mid-range territory.

The new smartphone has passed through the 3C certification. It carries model number Vivo V2111A and is listed with fast-charging capabilities offering up to 18W fast-charging support which means 9V, 2A. The device also supports 10W, but we believe that the company will bundle it with an 18W adapter since it’s a pretty common adapter nowadays.

Unfortunately, no further details have been revealed by the listing. Thanks to the Indian IMEI and CEIR listings, we know that it is a 4G-only smartphone. Currently, there is a multitude of 4G-enabled SoCs and just a few 5G chipsets. So it’s really hard to point out right now which chipset will come with the new mid-range smartphone. It could be a MediaTek Helio G, P, or even a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or 700 SoC.

Vivo Y53L is also coming soon

Besides the Vivo Y76s, another smartphone also passed through the IMEI and CEIR India website, the Vivo Y53L. This device is also expected to launch soon in India. We wouldn’t be surprised to see them arriving at the same time or, at least, with a couple of weeks of difference between them. The Vivo Y53L may be placed under the Vivo Y76s. Considering that the devices are brand new, we can also pretty much confirm that Android 11 will come. Instead of the Chinese-focused OriginOS, the company may bring them with the FuntouchOS 11 branch.

Worth noting that Vivo has recently unveiled its Vivo V21 5G in India. Due to the second wave of COVID-19 ravaging the country, we may not see a new smartphone at least during the first weeks of May. For that reason, we expect the new Vivo Y76s and Vivo Y53L to only come by the end of the month. However, the company can even leave them for a late release.
