Samsung revamped its smartphone series when it introduced the Galaxy A and M smartphones in 2019. Since then the company has been launching competitive and affordable devices under various pricing segments. The company pushed the bar for affordability further when it introduced the Galaxy A0 and M0 smartphones. These devices can be considered “super-budget” smartphones that are below the most basic Galaxy A and M smartphones. However, they do still bring package specifications that will deliver for the less exigent people. Back in the last year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A02s, and, apparently, the device is due for an upgrade. A new device with Galaxy A03s moniker had renders revealed by 91Mobiles. Apparently, it will be a considerable upgrade.
The device’s renders suggest a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a triple-camera setup accompanied by a LED flash, and a USB Type-C port. Considering these features, the device is going to be a great upgrade over the first Galaxy A0 smartphones. After all, its predecessor only had a micro-USB port.
Samsung Galaxy A03s specifications
Talking about the renders of the Galaxy A03s, the smartphone seems to be quite similar to that of the Galaxy A02s. However, this time around, Samsung is bringing significant upgrades. The company is implementing a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which is something that has absent in the Galaxy A02s. Moreover, the company is dropping the sluggish and old micro USB port in favor of a modern up to the date USB Type-C port. The device will measure around 166.6 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm. Including the rear camera hump, the thickness of the smartphone is said to be 9.5 mm.

The handset flaunts a 6.5-inch display with Samsung’s Infinity-V design language. Or if you prefer, this is a display with a waterdrop notch at the top. In terms of optics, the smartphone packs a triple-camera setup. It comprises a primary 12MP camera and two additional 2MP cameras. We assume that one is for macro and the other one for depth sensing. However, you can’t expect much from a device of this kind.
For selfies and video-calling, the Galaxy A03s may feature a 5MP camera. The smartphone will also have a 3.5mm audio jack if we have a closer look at the renders. As of now, the hardware specifications, and battery capacity details of the Galaxy A03 remain a mystery at the moment.
We can speculate a big battery with more than 4,000mAh and at least 15W charging since the USB Type-C port may open new horizons for the device. On the software front, we can expect Android 11 OS with One UI 3.1 Core.
