Huawei To Launch 135W Fast Charging Head For Smartphones And Laptops

The race for fact charging continues. Recently, Xiaomi demonstrated its new technology that could reach input charging power of 200W. This is going to be available on mass products in the near future. Today, we learned another China-based first-tier smartphone maker will launch a new product that is a step ahead of Xiaomi’s current 120W fast charging on the Mi 11 Pro series. Huawei showcased the 135W fast charging head, which is compatible with both laptops and smartphones.

A Weibo blogger proves that Huawei will launch a 135W high-power charger that uses the mainstream USB-C interface and supports super-fast charging of Huawei laptops and Huawei smartphones.

Note: This should not be the power adapter certified back in January this year.

Huawei’s 135W fast charging head adopts a full-body white design, a split pin structure, and the integrated wire is not pluggable. We can also see the words “HUAWEI SuperCharge” is also printed on the side. As said, it is made for notebooks mainly but it is also compatible with smartphones. So notebook and smartphone icons are also marked.

Well, while this product may look attractive to many non-Huawei fans, we have to say previously, the Huawei Matebook 16 came with a 135W USB-C power adapter as standard. Thus, it’s a common practice for Huawei. But its appearance was different from this model.

Huawei’ Fast Charging Solutions

At present, Huawei smartphones support up to 66W (11V/6A) fast charging. Thus, if using this charger, Huawei smartphone owners will utilize only the half of its power. But when a charger is compatible with many products, it’s not only about the charging power. We mean when travelling, you have to take only one charger. And this Huawei 135W fast charging head is ideal in this sense. It will provide fast charging not only for laptops but for smartphones as well.

The charging head has already passed FCC certification. So there is every reason to think its launch date is too close. But as there is no official information concerning the release date all we have are assumptions. In this sense, the upcoming Huawei P50 line models are the first candidates to get this charger.
