Samsung is striving to expand its portfolio of 5G smartphones under the mid-range and entry-level categories. The company already has a bunch of 5G smartphones in the market and this year everything has started with the Galaxy A52 and A72. These devices came in 4G and 5G variants. Now, the company is preparing a new Galaxy A52s variant with 5G connectivity. The Galaxy A52s 5G is likely to reach India and other markets very soon. The device has just passed through India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.
We’re used to seeing “s” upgrades for certain Galaxy A and M-series smartphones. The new Galaxy A52s 5G passed by the certification process with SM-A528B/DS model number. The BIS listing, unfortunately, does not reveal much of the details in this handset. However, it confirms that the device packs Dual SIM capabilities and is coming soon to the Indian market. We can also expect it to reach more markets simultaneously or in the future.
The Samsung Galaxy A52s should pack incremental upgrades over the Galaxy A52. That may include a bigger battery, improved cameras, or even a faster processor. The standard A52 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 750G, however, we may see it getting an upgrade to the Snapdragon 778G. After all, the Galaxy M52 5G is coming with the said processor which is faster than the 750G. The device may even be better than the Galaxy A72 5G which is superior in camera and performance.
Galaxy A52 5G specifications
Let’s have a look at the Galaxy A52 5G specifications. After all, the A52s 5G may bring some semblances with its predecessor. The device packs a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a centered punch-hole cutout for the 32 MP front-facing camera. Moving around to the back, we have a Quad-Camera setup. The rectangular module comprises a 64 MP primary camera, a 12 MP ultrawide shooter, a 5MP depth-sensing module, and a 5 MP macro snapper.
Under the hood, the smartphone boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Memory. You can easily expand that amount with a microSD card slot. The device also packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast-charging. The device also has stereo speakers and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The device runs Android 11-based One UI 3.0.
The new Galaxy A52s 5G should be slightly more expensive than the A52.
