The Huawei P50 series does not pretend to be the most waited flagships in the industry, but it still arouses interest, because it is curious to know how the company will solve the issue of chips and what success it will achieve in the field of mobile photography. Will the new devices develop the ideas laid down by their predecessors or will they offer something fundamentally new? We will find out reliably already on July 29, and today we can name the key characteristics of Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro +.
According to insider information, the Huawei P50 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display from BOE with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 4,200mAh battery with 66W fast charging, and the camera will offer support for 3x optical zoom. There will be two versions: 5G with a Kirin 9000E chip and 4G with Snapdragon 888. Huawei P50 should weigh 186 grams and the case thickness will be 8.3 mm.
Huawei P50 Pro will have a Kirin 9000 or Snapdragon 888 chipset, depending on the version (5G or 4G), a 4300 mAh battery, 66W fast charging and 50W wireless. The display will be a 6.7-inch OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The main camera will offer a powerful telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
Huawei P50 Pro + will receive the same screen, battery and wireless charging as usual; but the power of charging over the wire will be up to 100 watts. The smartphone will be based on the Kirin 9000 processor; and the main camera will sport a liquid lens and 10x continuous zoom.
A company spokesman says the Huawei P50 family will hit the global market
The premiere of the Huawei P50 series will take place on July 29. Given the difficult situation in which the company has to work due to the sanctions and the deplorable situation with the stock of components, many were inclined to assume that the Huawei P50 line would become the last flagship in the company’s lineup and become exclusive to the Chinese market.
But it turns out they underestimated Huawei. The desire for life and the desire to prove to everyone that the company; even in such difficult conditions, is capable of much, very strong. A Huawei spokesman in Finland announced that the Huawei P50 family will expand outside of China. The fact that we will see the global versions of the flagships of the new series may indirectly indicate that the company really bought a batch of Snapdragon 888 chips without a 5G modem; and this will allow it to not be limited to sales of devices in China.
According to reports, the P50 will receive support for 66W fast charging; while the Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Pro + can be charged at 100W. Another distinctive feature of the “firmware” will be the presence of an inch Sony IMX800 sensor with 50 megapixels. Do not forget to offer a telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom in the set of sensors.
