In other words, ZTE’S popular gaming brand Nubia may be on the verge of announcing another launch event. It is worth mentioning here that Nubia launched two smartphones including the Nubia 6 and the Nubia 6 Pro earlier this year.
The word on the street is that the upcoming launch event will feature the Nubia 6S series. The well-received gaming-centric phone brand’s flagship launch for 2021 is already completed. The company unveiled the new Red Magic 6 lineup of phones in its recently concluded launch event. The phones are designed for mobile gaming and come with impressive 165Hz displays. Furthermore, they support up to 120W charging in select markets. In 2020, Nubia introduced a slightly improved S variant. Now, the company could be planning to unveil another S model this year.
Nubia Red Magic 6S Pro Launch Date Confirmed
The company announced the Red Magic 6R in May this year. The Red Magic 6, and its Pro variant arrived in the Chinese market in March. A new Nubia phone bearing model number NX699J-S has been spotted on the 3C authority of China. This implies that the company could be on the verge of announcing another Red Magic gaming phone. On August 23, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer confirmed that it will unveil the Red Magic 6S Pro in China on September 6 at 3 PM (local time).
Noted leaker Digital Chat Station spotted a new Nubia N669J-S phone on the 3C certification. Considering that the new phone’s model number coincides with the existing RedMagic 6 variants, the tipster claims that it could be for the long-awaited Nubia 5S successor. Furthermore, the 120W standard discovered in the purported phone reinforces this speculation. NotebookCheck suggests that the new device could feature the slightly improved Snapdragon 888+ SoC.
Official Poster Reveal Some Key Features
The brand gave us a glimpse of the awe-inspiring features of the Nubia Red Magic 6S Pro via an official poster. It suggests that the phone will come with 165Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, it could pack a Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. The poster hints at a triple rear camera setup. The phone’s 3C certification appearance confirmed that it will support up to 120W fast charging.
The device could retain most of the specs of Red Magic 6 Pro, which sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, and a high refresh rate of 165Hz. A Snapdragon 888 SoC powers up the entire system. It ships with 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offers 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the phone runs on Android 11 OS with Red Magic UI 4.0 on top.
The Red Magic 6 Pro houses an 8MP front shooter. It has three rear-mounted cameras including a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Furthermore, the device features a robust 4,050mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
