A leaker has previously claimed that Samsung intended to unveil One UI 4.0 at the start of the summer period. This is the next version of the manufacturer’s user interface, which will obviously be based on Android 12, the latest version of the OS from Google.
This information came to us from the IceUniverse insider, renowned for its very often proven revelations. In addition, the leaker Max Weinbach announced at the end of June 2021 that Samsung teams are already working on the Android 12 update of One UI. In other words, everything suggested that the presentation of OneUI beta version was imminent.
Finally, the South Korean firm has not announced an official release date, but still specified that a beta would indeed arrive in September 2021. More specifically, the manufacturer has confirmed the opening of the beta for South Koreans users on Thursday, September 9, 2021. But obviously, something has prompted Samsung to change its plans.
The launch of Samsung One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 has been delayed
As reported by Android Authority, a representative of the Seoul firm has confirmed that the launch of the public beta of One UI 4.0 will not be launched on this date. The said official did not share details regarding the reasons for the delay; nor did he reveal when the beta program will open. He simply said that Samsung teams are still working on it.
At first glance, this should not be a long-term postponement. Chances are, the developers spotted a few minor bugs in the first beta and chose to delay deployment to fix them. According to the same official, this first phase of beta was to continue until October 29, 2021. But after this delay, it’s a safe bet that this date will be postponed by a few days. In other words, the stable version of One UI 4.0 on Android 12 could hit Galaxy S21 devices by mid-November 2021.
