Redmi G 2021 Launch Sept. 22

Redmi G 2021 launch date has been revealed, confirming that the company’s second-gen gaming laptop is just around the corner. Redmi took the wraps off its first-ever gaming laptop back in August 2020. Over a year later, the Xiaomi sub-brand has announced the notebook’s successor. A recently released teaser confirms that Redmi’s new notebook will be called Redmi G 2021.

Furthermore, the gaming laptop’s first-ever teaser sheds light on the exact date of its launch and the price tag it will carry. The original Redmi G was received well by avid gamers who aren’t willing to spend a lot of money on high-end gaming laptops. In a Weibo post, Redmi confirmed that the Redmi G 2021 will hit the store shelves soon. The announcement was accompanied by the notebook’s first teaser.

Redmi G 2021 Launch Date

The aforesaid teaser confirmed the exact launch date, as well as the pricing of the Redmi G 2021. According to the Weibo post, the laptop will go official on September 22 this year. Aside from that, the post states that the brand will focus more on popularizing high-end products. Furthermore, it claims that the upcoming gaming laptop delivers “invincible high-performance.” In other words, the laptop is capable of delivering a superior gaming experience, much to the delight of avid gamers.

Furthermore, this is an indication that the new laptop will boast improved hardware specifications compared to its predecessor. On the downside, it could cost more than the original Redmi G. To recall, the first Redmi G laptop went on sale in three variants. The base and mid variants drew power from 10th Gen Intel Core i5 H-series processors. The high-end model, on the other hand, came with an i7 chip. The base model featured an NVIDIA GTX 1650 GPU. The high-end variant had a GTX 1650 Ti graphics processing unit.

Other Price, Specs & Features (Expected)

The Redmi G 2021 could adopt the light theme if the references in the teaser image are anything to go by. It is still unclear if the new model will retain the 16.1-inch screen of its precursor. This display offers a 144Hz refresh rate. Aside from that, the laptop came in a sleek chassis. The starting price of the 2021 variant of the Redmi G could be around $760. This coincides with the price tag attached to the original Redmi G gaming laptop. More details are likely to surface ahead of the notebook’s official unveiling.
