Xiaomi recently took the covers off of its Civi handset and today, a bit of news in relation to the device has surfaced. Android Authority reached out to the Chinese giant in order to know whether the device will come to other markets.

Xiaomi has confirmed to the publication that it has no plans to bring the device to global markets, with the exact response from the company being that “Xiaomi Civi remains a Mainland China-only device”

What Does the Xiaomi Civi Have to Offer?

Xiaomi Civi

The Xiaomi Civi uses the slogan “natural looking” and it targets a more natural appearance. This brand focuses on five main areas including appearance, selfie images, screen, feel, and charging speed.

All these improvements reflects in the recently released Xiaomi Civi. However, the change in appearance is the most significant addition to this smartphone. The company also considers this smartphone to be the most beautiful in its history.

The Xiaomi Civi comes with a hyperboloid screen with a center punch-hole design. This device also uses a new second-generation COP packaging process.

Thus, we can see that the four sides of the display are extremely narrow and the lower frame is only 2.55mm wide. This makes it the smallest chin of Xiaomi mobile phones so far.

The back process of Xiaomi Civi is also very unique. It is the first time that Xiaomi introduced the velvet AG process. Compared with the ordinary AG process, it not only provides a smooth feel but also brings a shiny visual impression (Bling Bling). The pink version has a fluffy texture.

At the same time, the Xiaomi Civi weighs only 166g and the thickness is only 6.98mm. With the hyperboloid body design, it is only 6.1 inches in size in the hand. This device is very thin, light, and easy to hold/use.

What About the Internals?

Xiaomi Civi

The Xiaomi Civi uses a 6.55-inch screen with a center punch-hole design. In addition to the excellent visual perception at first glance, the screen quality of the Xiaomi Civi is also impressive.

It has a resolution of 2400 x 1080, supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz, a P3 color gamut, and also supports a 10bit color depth, which can display 1.07 billion colours.

The screen is calibrated with primary colours before leaving the factory, JNCD≈0.32, deltaE≈0.36. At the same time, this screen also supports HDR1O+ and Dolby Vision formats, which can bring users a set of unique and rich visual experiences.

This smartphone does not make any compromises in terms of performance while achieving lightness and thinness. Under the hood, the Xiaomi Civi comes with Qualcomm’s latest 7-series processor, Snapdragon 778G.

This chip uses TSMC’s 6nm process technology, and the overall performance of the Kryo670 CPU increases by 40%. Furthermore, the graphics rendering speed of the Adreno642L GPU increases by 40% relative to the previous generation platform.

Despite the thin and light appearance of this device, it does not sacrifice the battery. This smartphone comes with a decent 4500 mAh battery.

This is almost the highest battery capacity in its class (considering its thickness and weight). Furthermore, this device supports 55W fast charging and can deliver a full charge in 45 minutes.
