Oppo A16K key features and renders have leaked

Oppo may be busy with the release of a new foldable smartphone. However, the company is also preparing the terrain to release a new budget device under its A-series, the Oppo A16K. The device was previously spotted through BIS and NBTC certifications. Moreover, it has passed through the Camera FV-5 database, leaving its camera specifications behind in the process. Now, in a recent development, 91Mobiles has shared the key features and design renders of the Oppo A16K ahead of the official launch. According to the leaked render, the Oppo A16K will launch in three different colors – Blue, White, and Black.

The renders were disclosed by 91Mobiles, and according to them, the device has just a single camera at the back. This is a big indication that the device is here just for the very lowest end of the market. This is further affirmed by the polycarbonate build with round edges. The volume and power buttons on the device will be located on the right edge of the handset.

Oppo A16K specifications

The Oppo A16K flaunts a 6.52-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the handset may come with MediaTek’s Octa-Core Helio G35 SoC. For those unaware, this chipset uses the old 12 nm architecture and has eight old ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 3 GB / 4GB RAM options alongside 32 GB or 64 GB of Internal Storage, respectively.

Gizchina News of the week

As per the reports, the Oppo A16K runs with Android 11 straight out of the box. We can expect ColorOS 11.1 skin to be running on top. Given the pricing point of these devices, we don’t have big aspirations of ColorOS 12 and Android 12 on it. However, Oppo may surprise its users. In terms of optics, the device has a single 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing snapper. In terms of dimensions, the handset will measure around 164 x 75.4 x 7.85 mm and will weigh around 175 grams.

The package is supposed to draw its powers from a 4,230 mAh battery. It will only offer 10 W charging. Considering this limited charging, the device may end coming with a micro USB port. Of course, time will tell if this is true. We say this because Oppo is clearly saving costs with this device. It does not come with a fingerprint scanner but may come with a Face Unlock feature.

The Oppo A16K may come at a very low price and will be a good alternative for non-demanding users.
