Redmi K50 Gaming Edition exposure – focuses on high-performance games

Since the release of the Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen1, there have been multiple reports on the Redmi K50 series. A model in the series which is now getting attention is the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. According to reports, this smartphone will come with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. Today, popular Weibo tech blogger, @DCS reveals that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is already on the way. He further claims that this model focuses on high demanding games to deliver a high-performance gaming experience.

This smartphone will come with a center punch-hole straight screen with a lift-type solid shoulder button on the right. His previous report claims that Redmi will launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 gaming phone with a good high refresh screen and large battery. This smartphone will also support high-power fast charging, X-axis linear motors, JBL dual speakers, and physical shoulders buttons. 

Redmi K50 series gets radio approval in China

Xiaomi will release several new products this month including smartphones, earphones, and smartwatches. Furthermore, @WHYLAB stated that the new Redmi K50 series has passed the radio approval and the model number is 21121210C. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition already has this approval and it uses the Dimemsity 9000.

The other members of the Redmi K50 include L10A, L11R, L11, L10A, and L11R. The L11 is the Redmi K50 Pro and it will come with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. A recent report claims that the Redmi K50 Gaming Version will have two models. This smartphone will have the Dimensity 9000 and Dimensity 7000 models. However, the Dimensity 7000 version will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

Redmi K50 gaming version will have a premium display

The Redmi K50 gaming version with Dimensity 9000should use a 120 Hz or 144 Hz OLED display. It will have a quad rear camera setup including a 64MP Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor as the main camera. There will also be a 13 MP OV13B10 wide-angle sensor as well as VTech’s 8MP OV08856 telephoto macro sensor.  The fourth sensor will be a GalaxyCore’s 2MP GC02M1 depth of field sensor. In addition, there may be a special version that uses the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with 108MP resolution.

According to the exposure options, Redmi’s internal planning for new products has five aspects: independent display, LCD, E6 material OLED, adaptive refresh rate technology, and 2K ultra-clear resolution. It is worth noting that the 2K ultra-clear resolution OLED, E6 material, independent display chip, and other specifications are all new configurations that have never been applied by the Redmi brand before. The Redmi K50 will likely be Redmi’s first 2K model and supports higher refresh rate adjustments.
