A fresh piece of information suggests that the Google Pixel Notepad could carry a more affordable price tag than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung is without an iota of doubt is dominating the foldable phone segment, along with the likes of Huawei. However, more and more OEMs are now adopting the newfangled foldable display technology for their mobile devices. Several Chinese manufacturers have unveiled their first foldable phones, going toe-to-toe with the South Korean tech company in the emerging market.

Now, the word on the street is that Google is prepping to launch its maiden foldable device, dubbed the Google Pixel Notepad. Earlier this month, the Google Foldable phone was spotted in Android 12L beta, giving us a glimpse of the device’s awe-inspiring design. To recall, in November, some reports suggested that the search engine giant had temporarily canceled the Pixel Fold. However, the rumor mill continued to churn out speculations surrounding the purported foldable phone.

According to the source, contrary to rumors that implied Google will not launch its foldable device, the source claims that the company never stopped working on it. Furthermore, Google isn’t bent on following in the footsteps of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. Instead, the California-based technology giant wants to emulate the Oppo Find N technique. In other words, the Google Pixel Notepad could bear a striking resemblance to the Oppo Find N. Interestingly, the Oppo Find N draws inspiration from the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, Oppo’s foldable device sports wider screens and its aspect ratio is narrower than the Fold 3. If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, the Pixel Notepad will have a similar design.

Also, it will be interesting to see whether Google teams up with Samsung Display or any other manufacturer to make the foldable panels for the Pixel Notepad. The Google Foldable phone is likely to compete with the Oppo Find N. So, it will be more affordable than the Galaxy Z Fold 3. To recall, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 made its debut back in August carrying a steep price tag of $1,799. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning here that Samsung could launch its maiden foldable phone with a different moniker. The device’s internal name is the “Notepad”, as well as the “Logbook.”
