Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S are now available in India

Redmi Note 11

After the global launch, the remaining devices of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 series are now reaching the Indian market. The Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S were the two missing pieces for the Indian party, but that changes today. Customers interested in the entry offerings will be able to purchase them this Friday. The Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S are regular 4G smartphones, but bring some decent specifications for the category like AMOLED display and fast-charging. Without further ado, let’s see what these devices have in tow for the market.

Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S specifications

Both Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S share similar specifications. However, the S is slightly beyond the camera department, offers more horsepower but sacrifices efficiency. For instance, both smartphones pack a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The handsets also pack a 90 Hz refresh rate with a DCI-P3 color gamut and a bright display with 1000 nits.

Under the hood, the vanilla Redmi Note 11S packs the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. Although this chip was unveiled last year, it’s the Helio G95 again, but with tweaks to allow higher refresh rates and cameras. The chip still brings the same ARM Cortex-A76 cores and is based on the old 12 nm architecture. The Note 11, on the other hand, has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC which boasts the 6 nm architecture but is less powerful with Cortex-A73 cores. Moving on, both devices have the LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 Storage. The Redmi Note 11S boasts 3 GB of Virtual RAM whereas the Note 11 has only 2 GB.

In terms of optics, the Note 11 has a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth module. For selfies and video calls, there is a 13 MP front-facing snapper. The Note 11S, as already mentioned, is something for photography lovers. The device has a 108 MP Samsung HM2 main camera, and the same three modules as the Note 11. The selfies will also be better thanks to a 16 MP snapper. Both devices have the same centered punch-hole.

Both Note 11 and Note 11S run MIUI 13, but that is still based on Android 11. Other features include a 5000 mAh battery with 33 W fast-charging, a fingerprint scanner, AI face unlock, micro SD card support, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Speakers with Hi-Res Audio, and IR blaster.
