An epic collaboration between two camera “lords”, Insta360 and Leica have produced a flagship camera. The collaboration led to the development of the ONE RS one-inch panoramic camera. This camera is currently available for 4498 yuan ($672). According to officials, this is the first time that the optical imaging technology of the century-old Leica has been deeply integrated with the 360° panoramic technology. While Insta360 is a Chinese company, Leica is a German company.
The ONE RS one-inch panoramic camera comes with dual one-inch sensors on the front and rear. These sensors can shoot high-resolution 6K panoramic videos and 21-megapixel panoramic photos. Furthermore, the ONE RS 1-inch panorama version adds the PureShot HDR photo mode. This mode uses AI algorithms to help achieve a higher dynamic range, without redundant post-editing, and what you see is what you get.
ONE RS one-inch panoramic camera – a decent flagship camera
The ONE RS one-inch panorama version supports FlowState anti-shake technology as well as the 360° horizontal correction function. Users can shoot without fear of shaking as the camera keeps the output level and the image is smooth. With the invisible selfie stick, some creators can complete the shooting in one person. The selfie stick is completely invisible through the algorithm, one person can also shoot the third-person perspective, and there are more lens movements to provide more creative freedom.
With 360° recording, creators can capture an entire space with a single camera, regardless of composition. In one shot, you can capture all the exciting shots of the moment. Through post-editing, creators can obtain rich materials with diverse perspectives from a panoramic video, and the export frame ratio has no limit.
The new vertical version of the replaceable battery has a capacity of up to 1350 mAh. It can shoot continuously for up to 62 minutes in 6K@30fps mode. It also supports charging and shooting while connected to a power source. In addition, the ONE RS one-inch panoramic version continues the existing modular ecosystem of the Insta360 ONE RS. The new Leica lens is compatible with the existing ONE R / RS mainframe.
