Recall that the display specification of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are the same. The only difference between the two displays is their size. Thus, DXOMARK says if the specs are the same, so should be their scores. According to reports, in terms of readability, the difference between the two models is very small. The screen brightness of the Pro version is only slightly darker than that of the Pro Max model when indoors and in sports. The two devices have the same performance in other attributes.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

Although the iPhone 14 Pro Max displays score of 149 points tops the chart, the audio score of 142 ranks 9th. As a high-end model of the iPhone 14 series, this device comes with an excellent display. Its major selling point is in terms of readability, the device stands out in this regard. This model is the brightest screen DXOMARK has ever tested. It excels in outdoor readability, with 2000 nits of brightness when viewing photos in sunlight. This outdoor readability improvement isn’t seen in all reading scenarios, such as web browsing, though. The video experience is also great: contrast and detail are very natural when watching HDR videos. In addition, the rendering is very realistic in low light and the frame loss is almost invisible when playing video games.
