The Indian variant of the Poco X5 5G phone has bagged the BIS certification. Also, the upcoming phone has been spotted on the FCC website.

To recap, Poco recently unveiled M5 series smartphones for the Indian market. The brand introduced a 4G-ready phone dubbed the Poco M5 4G, which carries a reasonable price tag of INR 15,000.

Also, the global variant of the Poco F5 made its appearance on the EEC certification website last month, which is a major sign that Poco is prepping to launch the handset for the global market soon.

Now, Poco could be planning to bring the 5G version of the handset in the coming days. The Poco X5 5G is likely to hit store shelves in India soon.

The Poco X5 5G series smartphones will reportedly go official later this year. However, Poco is still mum on its plan to launch the X5 5G lineup in 2022.

In the meantime, the Poco X5 5G has been spotted on the FCC and India’s BIS websites. The FCC listing showcases the upcoming handset’s rectangular camera module and reveals a slew of other key details.

First off, the phone will support dual-band Wi-Fi. Aside from this, the FCC certification website suggests the X5 5G will use a 4900mAh battery to draw its juices.

However, Poco will probably introduce it as a 5000mAh battery, but details about the charging capabilities are still scarce. The FCC listing confirms the phone will support n78, n77, n41, n38, n7, and n5 5G bands.

The device will run MIUI 14 out of the box, which means it might boot the Android 13 operating system out of the box. The Indian variant of the Poco X5 5G carries model number 22101320I on the BIS certification website.

The Poco phone has passed through the BIS certification website so it is safe to assume that the Poco X5 5G smartphone’s India launch is around the corner.

Also, Poco India head Himanshu Tandon recently hinted at a launch of a new smartphone, which could turn out to be the Poco X5 5G.
