A recent report from Strategy Analytics reveals that 5G is the main contributor to the improvement of operator performance this year. 5G subscribers increased from 819 million in June to 924 million in September. Over the past month, the number of 5G subscribers in the world now exceeds 1 billion. The momentum of global 5G adoption continues to increase.

According to the report, by the end of this month, 5G networks will cover 36% of the world’s population. The report also claims that 5G mobile phones will soon account for half of global mobile phone sales. Strategy Analytics expects that global 5G will continue to develop strongly in 2023. With 5G services in India going live last month, the market will make an additional contribution to Asia-Pacific growth next year. Also, more carriers in Latin America will follow the example of Brazil and Chile. These are the nations with the highest level of 5G in South America.

There are more solutions for operators and more advanced consumption of new advanced network services. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as of the end of November, the total number of mobile phone users in China hit 1.684 billion. Among them, 5G mobile phone users hit 542 million. This accounts for 32.2% of mobile phone users.
