Vivo X90 and X90 Pro are now available in India

Vivo X90

The Vivo X90 series made its debut way back in November in China. The company rolled out to the global audience in February, however, India has been left out of the party. The wait is finally over and Indian customers can finally experience these new beasts of performance and photography. The same global variants are now heading to India. That means there is no Vivo X90 Pro+ with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro are here to prove their value.

Vivo X90 and X90 Pro specs and features

The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro pack the same MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC. On paper, it is very similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but on the flagship market, there is still a preference for Qualcomm CPUs. Let’s see how these flagships will perform in India. Both flagships pack the same 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,800 x 1,260 pixels of resolution. Both have a fingerprint scanner underneath, but it’s not the same ultra-sonic tech found within the Vivo X80 series. Anyway, it should be fast for most users.

The Vivo X90 Pro draws power from a slightly larger 4,870 mAh battery with 120W charging and 50W wireless charging. The Pro also has an IP68 rating, while the X90 has “just” IP64. Both phones come with the same Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 software.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo X90 Pro sells in a single variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage. The Legendary Black phone sells with a price tag of INR84,899 ($1,035). That is quite expensive and we are curious to see if the phone will prove a valid option over Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagships. The Vivo X90 is offered in Asteroid Black and Breeze Blue color options. It has options with 8 GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB priced at INR59,999 ($730) and INR63,999 ($780), respectively.

The open sales will begin on May 5 and the phones are available via Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, and select retail stores. We’ve reviewed the Vivo X90 Pro and you can find more details about it here.
