Redmi MAX 90-inch 144Hz Smart TV launched – can fit into an elevator

Having a theater-like experience in your home is no longer an impossible task. Perhaps, you won’t get the same display size as we have in theaters, but we’re getting close to that. Xiaomi is launching a set of huge displays under the Redmi brand. Last year, it introduced the Redmi Max 100-inch TV. The TV was so big that it was impossible to fit into an elevator. So buying one was not something to be considered by those living in high buildings. This can be an issue for specific markets, and Xiaomi decided to address that. If you’re living in a place where the 100-inch size is not a problem, then you can get the 100-inch panel, but if you need to fit your tv into the elevator, then there is a new Redmi Max 90-inch Smart TV.

Redmi Max 90-inch Smart TV features and details

The Redmi Max 90-inch Smart TV is just slightly smaller than the previous model. However, there is more beyond the size. The TV adopts a special-shaped packaging design. As a result, it can be placed diagonally into the elevator, making it easier to be carried into high-rise apartments. Well, Xiaomi went all the way to provide a solution for elevators. We assume that the company had its inbox full of complaints about the size of the Redmi Max 100-inch.

Considering the issues, the company is actually replacing the 100-inch model with the 90-inch one. The new TV adopts a 4K resolution. For some that may be enough, but for others 8K would be appreciated considering the size of the display. We assume that it was a cost-measure decision. Besides this, the display has 1.07 billion color support and comes with a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate with HDMI 2.1 next-gen game interface. It also offers support for VRR and automatic latency.

A large screen also needs to provide decent audio, right? The Redmi MAX 90-inch comes with a 30W speaker with Panoramic Audio support. In terms of performance, the TV comes with a Quad-Core Cortex-A73 chipset with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of Internal Storage. The smart TV also boasts support for Wi-Fi 6. Other features include 1 x HDMI 2.0 port, 1x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, network cable port, and AV input.

Is it expensive?

The Redmi MAX 90-inch TV is available for pre-order in China. The product has a price tag of $7999 which translates to $1,156. It’s not much if you take in mind that some smartphones easily break that barrier. Of Course, you can’t carry along this TV like you do with your smartphone, but hey! It’s an astonishing 90-inch TV. At least, you can easily carry it to your sky-high apartment. The TV will launch officially on May 10. Unfortunately, we don’t have much hope for an international release. Earlier this month, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Pad 6 series in China. Now, the customers are also getting an interesting choice of TV.
