Gizchina News of the week

Samsung is a great example of a company that uses all the tools at its disposal to boost performance through innovation at different stages of its value chain. It regularly introduces new technologies on a large scale. Focusing on technological innovations and standing out for its ability to enter adjacent markets (such as folding phones). It is also the non-US company that invests the most money in research and development. With around 17 billion dollars allocated for this purpose in 2021 alone.

Huawei is another company that has consistently shown a strong commitment to innovation. While it is true that the company is not going through its best stage at an economic level, it has proven on more than one occasion to be a pioneer when it comes to incorporating new technologies into its products, or taking existing ones further. Recent models such as the Huawei P60 Pro and its advanced camera system with variable aperture is a good example of this.

If we expand the ranking to the top 50, we can find other companies that also contemplate the development of Android devices as one of their business areas. This is the case of Xiaomi (in twenty ninth position), Sony (in thirty first) and Lenovo (in forty eighth).

The strong showing of Android manufacturers in this report is a testament to the platform‘s openness and flexibility. It allows companies to innovate in a variety of ways. And this has led to the development of some of the most innovative devices on the market.
