Meizu has officially confirmed November 30 as the launch date for its Meizu 21 series. The company’s new flagship smartphone will arrive just a few months after the launch of the Meizu 20 series. The new devices promise some interesting hardware upgrades as Meizu, now under Geely’s administration, rises to compete with the flagship brands and recover the former glory of Meizu smartphones. Ahead of the launch, Meizu has confirmed some of the specifications.

Meizu 21 – Some Of Specifications Have Been Teased by The brand

Meizu 21

As usual, Meizu is teasing fans with some of the specifications for its upcoming flagship. The company confirmed the Meizu 21 will pack a 6.55-inch OLED screen provided by Samsung. The device will come with a “1.5K” resolution. This term is often used by Chinese brands to describe displays with 1,440 or 1220 pixels. That could be also the case for the Meizu 21. Anyway, Meizu also confirmed the phone will feature SGS low blue light certification and 1920 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen is flanged by symmetrical 1.74 mm bezels on all sides.

The Meizu 21 is also confirmed with a huge 4,800 mAh battery. The device is paired with an energy-efficient screen and also boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone has a 5,100 mAh battery that promises long endurance with Meizu’s OneMind 10.5 AI engine.

According to Meizu, the 21 lasts 8.2 hours in extreme endurance testing. Unfortunately, the company did not specify what kind of activity the phone had to withstand in these extreme tests. We assume this involves intense internet usage, gaming, etc. The company also states that an unnamed competition with a 5,100 mAh battery only managed 7.4 hours in the same test. According to Meizu 21’s earlier 3C certification, it will have support for 80W fast wired charging.

We expect Meizu to keep sharing more details about the Meizu 21 series in the upcoming days. The new device is also confirmed to bring deep integration with FlymeAuto which runs on Geely vehicles.
