The Vivo S18 series is about, to begin with the launch of the Vivo S18 “Next Monday”. Vivo confirmed today that its upcoming premium mid-range, the Vivo S18 will debut on December 4. The confirmation came straight from the company’s Vice-President of Products. According to him, the new smartphone series will debut with Vivo’s own AI name BlueLM. The “Blue” stands for the logo’s color, and LM is most likely for the “language model” AI. The company will take a ride in the hype of natural language AIs with its youth-focused smartphone series. In addition to the launch date, the company also confirmed the phone’s rear design.

The Vivo S18 Series – Comprehensive Description

The upcoming Vivo S18 will arrive to continue the legacy of the S-series. For those unfamiliar, the Vivo S-series focuses on the youth with sleek design, colorful variants, and powerful cameras for all the moments. The company is preparing a new round of upgrades to be released on December 4. Ahead of the launch, the first details are popping out. The Vivo S18 will come with a large Aura Light Flash, which is Vivo’s solution for the LED flash we often see in all smartphones. The new devices will also arrive with powerful cameras and will have an AI assistant integrated in its software. Through this article, we will discuss the launch date reveal and the design details disclosed by the company’s VP.

What is a Natural Language Model? How does the BlueLM AI make the Vivo S18 appealing?

AI language models are a key component of natural language processing (NLP), a field of artificial intelligence (AI) focused on enabling computers to understand and generate human language. With the Vivo S18, the company will introduce its BlueLM assistant. While Vivo is yet to disclose details about its AI we can speculate it will work by giving users natural responses to their inquiries. The company will take a ride on the hype created by ChatGPT and other AI models. Considering the popularity of ChatGPT among youth, and how the Vivo S-series focuses in this field, the Vivo S18 could be an interesting option in the mid-range market.

Vivo S18 Design has Been Confirmed – Triple-Camera Setup with OIS

Vivo S18

The executive shared an image that shows the Vivo S18’s rear design. The handset will feature three cameras on the back with a Square Aura Light. It’s the largest for a Vivo S-series smartphone. The design does not show much about the smartphone but there is an “OIS Portrait” word in the text. The same wording was found in the Vivo S17 and the Vivo V29 lineup. It means that the handset will have Optical Image Stabilization for the main camera, just like the recently released Vivo V29 Pro.

Unfortunately, the specifications for the Vivo S18 series are scarce right now. The phones are expected to retain the company’s strategy with sleek design and powerful cameras. We may also see fast-charging and colorful options with at least one variant sporting Vivo’s Fluorite Glass. According to the rumors, the Vivo S18 will bring the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The Vivo S18 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC.

We expect further details about these phones to be disclosed soon. There are just four three days between us and the December 4 release. Vivo may use these remaining days to keep sharing details about these phones. So stay tuned for more.

Conclusion

Considering the specifications, the Vivo S18 series will continue this lineup’s legacy. We will get powerful cameras and decent performance inside of a sleek body with a stylish design. The Vivo S18 series will reach the Chinese market and we may see their arrival on global markets under the Vivo V-series moniker.
