Samsung has unveiled two new additions to its lineup of rugged devices: the Galaxy XCover7 smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Active5 tablet. Built for users in demanding environments, these successors to the XCover6 Pro and Tab Active4 Pro respectively, prioritize durability and connectivity.

Samsung Unveils Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5: Built to Endure and Connect

Built to Endure: Both devices boast military-grade MIL-STD-810H3 certification, making them resistant to drops, shocks, and extreme temperatures. The XCover7 withstands drops of up to 1.5 meters, while the Tab Active5, accompanied by its included protective case, handles falls from 1.8 meters. So, corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and Gorilla Glass 5 shield their displays, and both devices are rigorously tested for use with sanitizers, ideal for frontline workers in healthcare, construction, or hospitality.

Connectivity and Performance: Powered by the Dimensity 6100+ processor, the XCover7 delivers efficient performance alongside 5G connectivity, crucial for real-time data access and collaboration. While retaining its predecessor’s screen and battery capacity, the XCover7 streamlines its camera setup to a single rear sensor and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Also, the Tab Active5 packs a punch with its Exynos 1380 SoC and 5G capabilities, ensuring smooth operations and seamless data transfer. Its 8-inch display, slightly smaller than its predecessor, offers enhanced visibility with increased brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the iconic S Pen remains, retaining its IP68 water and dust resistance for convenient note-taking and on-screen interaction.
