OnePlus Buds 3 Goes Global With Hi-Res Wireless Audio and Dual Drivers

OnePlus Buds 3 debuted with the OnePlus Ace 3 in China earlier this month. Both devices have now made their international debut. In fact, along with these two, the company has also rolled out the flagship OnePlus 12 to the global markets.

Getting back to the earbuds, the OnePlus Buds 3 is a proper successor to the Buds 2. It brings a good number of improvements, which range from the sound quality, driver setup, better noise cancellation, and extended battery life. The price tag is attractive as well, at $99 or 99 Euro for the European markets.

Dual Driver Setup of OnePlus Buds 3

Among the key highlights of the OnePlus Buds 3 is the dual-driver setup. The earbuds come with dynamic units, which OnePlus has designed to deliver proper reproduction of high and low frequencies. More specifically, the wireless buds can deliver an ultra-wide frequency response range of 15 Hz to 40 KHz.

Driver setup

Thanks to this wide range, you can expect to get all the details from the playback. OnePlus says that the Buds 3 can even reproduce the delicate treble details accurately. For offering powerful bass, these Bluetooth buds come with BassWave technology.

This tech makes the driver render a deep-tone bass. Also, the high-frequency reproduction of the OnePlus Buds 3 can reveal every detail of the music. With a coaxial integrated design, both the tweeter and the woofer drivers get the boost they require for balanced audio.

Certified Hi-Res Wireless Audio Through LHDC 5.0

It’s not just the driver setup that matters, and OnePlus knows that exactly well. The Buds 3 earbuds have the LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codec. This codec support makes the buds gain Wireless Hi-Res Audio certification by the Japan Audio Society. They can process a bit rate of 96KHz sample rate and 24-bit bit depth.

All this means that the OnePlus Buds 3 earbuds have what it takes to deliver a studio-level audio experience. Of course, you need to note that not all smartphones come with LHDC support. OnePlus flagship phones, such as the OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 12, have it. Most have Sony LDAC, while others are limited to SBC and AAC codecs.

As for wireless connectivity, it’s handled through Bluetooth 5.3. The Buds 3 earbuds also have Google Fast Pair, allowing you to enjoy hassle-free wireless connections.

Customized Audio Through Audio ID 2.0 and 3D Audio

The sound greatness of the OnePlus Buds 3 doesn’t stop on the Hi-Res codec. These buds also pack the Audio ID 2.0 audio profile technology. It incorporates ear canal compensation, leakage compensation, and personalized sound perception. With it, you can basically fine-tune the audio output of the drivers.

Comfort and Design

The Buds 3 also comes with HRTF and in-house algorithms to deliver surround 3D audio. They can reproduce directional sound, offering unparalleled depth and realism. You will basically feel being inside a 3D concert hall with this mode turned on.

ANC, Battery Life, and Design of OnePlus Buds 3

OnePlus has packed Smart Scene Noise Cancellation 2.0 inside the Buds 3. With this, the earbuds can offer three noise canceling levels, maxing out at 49 dB. This means you can get fully distraction-free listening. The buds can automatically change the levels when the adaptive ANC is turned on.

Main Highlights of OnePlus Buds 3

There’s a transparency mode available as well. It allows you to be fully aware of the environment when you need to. Also, thanks to the comfort-forward design, you can keep the OnePlus Bud 3 on for hours without issues.

Battery Life

Regarding battery life, the OnePlus Buds 3 can offer up to 44 hours of battery life with the charging case. It even has a fast charging feature, which offers 2 hours of playtime with 10 minutes of charge.
