As expected, OnePlus took to the Mobile World Congress to unveil its latest step in the smartwatch scene. The OnePlus Watch 2 is the company’s latest smartwatch and comes with a set of interesting features such as a dual OS operation and a dual-chip architecture. OnePlus Watch 2 – Main Features

The OnePlus Watch 2 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with impressive 1000 nits of peak brightness. It allows you to easily view and respond to notifications under direct sunlight. The phone also allows the user to make and answer phone calls over Bluetooth. The Watch is equipped with 32 GB of Standalone storage. Apart from being used for apps, you can also use it to download songs from YouTube Music and Spotify. The wearable is compatible with most Bluetooth earbuds, so you can store music in the watch and use a TWS earbud to listen to the song.

The OnePlus Watch 2 and the OHealth app now offer support for Health Connect by Android. It offers a central hub in Android 14 for managing data permissions from multiple health and fitness apps and devices. With user permission, users can securely synchronize their health data collected via the watch or the OHealth app with Health Connect-compatible apps, said the company. Interestingly, the smartwatch also has military-grade durability. It has 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance and over 100 sports modes. The watch has a built-in dual-band GPS to track all your activity accurately and offers additional data for running, badminton, tennis, and skiing.

OnePlus Watch 2 – Dual-OS and Dual-Chipset Design

As usual in smartwatches, the OnePlus Watch 2 does come with heart rate, blood oxygen saturation monitoring, and stress detection. All the info is gathered on the OnePlus O Health app. One of the most interesting details is that this is a dual-OS smartwatch. It uses both Wear OS powered by the Snapdragon W5 chip and uses proprietary OS based on RTOS. The watch has a 500 mAh battery and promises up to 100 hours of battery life in Smart Mode. In the power saving mode, it promises up to 12 days of battery life. It supports VOOC fast-charging and it offers all-day power in just 10 minutes of charge.

The wearable has a round dial with a premium look in general. The display is covered with scratch-resistant 2.5D sapphire glass protection. The secondary chip is a BES 2700 processor. The wearable comes with Bluetooth 5.3 with a microphone and built-in speakers for Bluetooth calling. The watch’s overall dimensions are 47×46.6×12.1mm. It weighs in at 49 grams without the strap and 80 grams with the strap.
