Pixel Watch 4 Leaks Reveal Two Sizes, New Colors, and Faster Charging

Google’s hardware event is coming up on August 20, and while the Pixel 10 series will understandably take center stage, the company’s next smartwatch is already generating interest. Leaked renders of the Pixel Watch 4—shared by Android Headlines—offer our clearest look yet at the design and color options. And they suggest Google is finally making some long-requested changes.

The most obvious shift? Two sizes. For the first time, the Pixel Watch will reportedly be available in both 41mm and 45mm variants. It’s a welcome change. The original’s single-size approach wasn’t for everyone—too bulky for some, too compact for others. This time, Google seems to be listening.

More Than Just a Resize: Material and Charging Changes Coming

Beyond sizing, the renders show four case finishes: Black, Silver, Gold, and a muted Moonstone that’s new to the lineup. Band options include both the familiar Active and Sport styles, with some new colorways in tow. If the leaks hold up, the Active bands will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Moonstone, while the Sport bands come in Indigo, Limoncello, and Iris. The visual palette is broader but still restrained—no neon here. Google is clearly aiming for versatility over flash.

Interestingly, there’s talk of a new material for the Active bands—something more comfortable, though specifics are still unknown. And while the Stretch band is returning, it will reportedly be limited to the smaller 41mm model. Maybe a fit issue, maybe a design choice. Time will tell.

More notably, charging is getting a speed boost. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to include a new charging system that’s 25% faster than before. For a device that’s always struggled with all-day stamina, that could make a meaningful difference—even if battery life itself isn’t radically improved.

Wear OS 6 and the Bigger Picture

Software-wise, the Pixel Watch 4 should arrive with Wear OS 6, likely with deeper ties to Google’s AI efforts and health integrations. We don’t know yet what those software upgrades will look like, but expect some moves in the direction of smarter assistant behavior and Google Health refinements.

One thing is clear: the Pixel Watch 4 isn’t a reinvention, but it feels like a product quietly finding its footing. Two sizes. More thoughtful band design. Faster charging. These are the kinds of changes you make not for headlines—but for people actually wearing the thing every day.

Google will share more on August 20. In the meantime, the Pixel Watch 4 looks like it’s finally growing up.
