At the outbreak and spread of the 2019-nCoV which is currently ravaging multiple countries, there is a conscious effort to avoid public gathering in areas where the virus is common. Today, Samsung’s largest flagship store in China (The Bund) issued an official statement on its closure. According to the store, due to careful consideration and recommendations of health experts, from now until February 9, Samsung flagship experience store (The Bund) will be closed.
However, the store will continue to closely monitor the situation and hope to reopen the store as soon as possible. It avised its numerous consumers to refer to online stores for all purchases for now.
Samsung’s largest flagship store (The Bund) is on Nanjing East Road, Shanghai. It is Samsung’s first and currently the largest flagship experience store in China. The store officially opened on October 18, 2019. Samsung held a communication conference here to launch its first mid-range 5G mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G.
In addition to Samsung, Apple has also recently closed three Apple Store retail stores in Qingdao, Nanjing, and Fuzhou. Apple will close retail stores, offices and call centers in mainland China, but online stores will continue to operate as usual. In addition, Xiaomi has also closed many of its stores in China.
