Disney+ streaming service reaches 7 more countries in Europe

Disney+

Disney+ is one of the hottest streaming platforms nowadays. Even though it is only available in three countries since its rollout in November. Now, however, some new countries will be able to enjoy exclusive content. Starting today, the streaming service will be available in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.

The subscription for Dinsey+ costs £5.99/€5.99 per month or £59.99/€59.99 per year. Its portfolio includes hit titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, all the Star Wars franchise, and National Geographic. Talking about Star Wars, the service exclusively offers The Mandalorian show. The popularity of this show boosted in the last year with the numerous Baby Yoda memes. Unfortunately, it will air just like in the United States. Two episodes will be available now, the remaining ones will come in the following weeks. It’s weird to use this strategy, but at least, the service is here.

Disney+

Disney+ was also supposed to arrive in France, however, Disney decided to postpone the launch with the Coronavirus pandemic. Well, we believe that with the current lockdown policies there are no better times than the present to launch a new streaming platform. The use of such services boosted in the past few weeks, forcing other popular streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon to limit quality to SD. Thus, ensuring that network providers won’t be overcharged. Disney+ will also offer reduced streaming quality for the next month to ease the strain on the EU servers. The content will also be different between the US, UK and the rest of Europe.
