After the global launch of the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro, the brand is launching a set of new mid-range phones. Vivo is now preparing for the launch of the Vivo V27 series, and meanwhile, is introducing new Vivo Y-series phones. Today, it’s time for the Vivo Y56 5G to leave the cover. It’s a modern low-end phone with a Dimensity 700 CPU.

Vivo Y56 5G specifications

The Vivo Y56 5G packs a 6.58-inch LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution. The phone has a waterdrop notch, which is usual for the budget category. There is no mention of a refresh rate, so we are sure it has just the regular 60 Hz. The phone has fairly thick bezels all around and a large chin. The selfie snapper is a 16 MP camera.

Moving around to the back, there is a dual-camera setup. It sits inside a rectangular island that also houses a LED flash stripe. The main camera is a 50 MP shooter, and it doubles with a 2 MP depth helped. Vivo teases the Vivo Y56 5G as a 50 MP Super Night Camera.

Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU which is aging at this point. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of Internal Storage. There is also a micro SD card for further memory expansion. The phone runs Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. The extended RAM feature provides up to an extra 8 GB of virtual RAM. The Vivo Y56 5G draws its power from a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Vivo Y56 5G

The Vivo Y56 5G is available in India, and there is no word on whether it will be available in other markets. It costs INR 19,999 which is just around $250. The phone sells in Black Engine and Orange Shimmer color options. The phone is available for orders through Vivo’s official website.
