Nothing Phone (2a): Price Info Leaks Alongside RAM and Storage Configuration

Nothing is working on its next smartphone the Nothing Phone (2a). After launching two smartphones for the premium segment, with the Nothing Phone (2) being a true flagship with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the company plans to launch a more affordable option. The Nothing Phone (2a) is expected for the MWC Barcelona in late February and some of its specifications have been the target of leaks in the past few days. Today, new information details the smartphone’s pricing, which is expected to start under €400 in the EU and will come in White and Black.

The newly leaked information covers the price and storage of the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a). The new smartphone will offer 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage in its basic model. There will also be another variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. However, the price is not yet available. For comparison, the Nothing Phone (2) comes with a $599 price tag in the US and €649 in the EU. Therefore, the Nothing Phone (2a) could sit between $349 and $399.

Nothing Phone (2a) Specifications

Regarding specifications, the Nothing Phone (2a) will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2,412 x 1,084 pixels. Under the hood, the device carries the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The new SoC should ensure great performance for the handset. It will come with 2 x ARM Cortex-A715 cores and 6 x ARM Cortex-A150 cores for efficiency clocked at 2.0 GHz. It should be able to run all apps from the Play Store and will still offer decent performance in gaming.

The phone will come with a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter. Selfies and video calls will be taken by a 32 MP selfie camera. The phone will sell in White and Black color options. The phone will also bring the GLYPH LED interface at the back. The GLYPH works by lighting the LEDs in distinct or custom patterns. It acts as a notification light, for alerts and etc. Besides the hardware, the phone will also run Nothing OS 2.5 with its unique UI and features.

We expect Nothing to share more details when the launch date gets near. The MWC will happen in late February, so we expect more leaks and teasers to pop out.
