Chinese tech manufacturer Honor has launched its latest smartphone, the Play 10C. This is a low-budget device that comes with a huge battery, a bright and smooth display, and a host of other amazing features, which we will be looking at.
Big Screen with Smooth Refresh Rate
The Play 10C comes with a 6.61-inch LCD screen, a resolution of 720 x 1604 pixels, and 1010 nits of peak brightness. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, meaning it can show smoother animations and scrolling compared to smartphones in its price category.

This device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which is perfect for its price range. The Play 10C runs Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9.0 on top, offering a modern interface and the latest software improvements.
Cameras for Everyday Use
The Play 10C’s back camera is a 13MP with an f/1.8 lens, though not close to mind-blowing, it should capture decent photos in good lighting. In front is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, which is ok for casual photos and video calls.
Massive Battery and Charging
A whopping 6000mAh battery is what the Play 10C is expected to come with. With this battery size, the device can last for at least a day or even two, depending on the usage. The phone supports 15W wired charging, which isn’t the fastest, but it’s enough for steady top-ups.
The smartphone incorporates IP64-rated protection against water and dust, which, while not representing the industry’s superior threshold, remains sufficiently adequate for an entry-level smartphone. It measures 163.95 x 75.6 x 8.39 mm, weighs 197 grams, and comes in three colours: blue, white, and black.
Price and Availability
Honor is selling the Play 10C in China with three memory options. The 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model costs CNY 649 (around $90). The 6GB RAM version with 128GB storage is CNY 699 ($97), while the top model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is CNY 899 ($125). It’s already available through Honor’s online store, with deliveries starting August 12. At the moment, there is no official information on whether this device will launch outside China.
The Honor Play 10C looks like a solid budget option—big battery, smooth 120Hz screen, and decent performance for the price. Curious to see if Honor brings it to markets outside China.
