Laptop computers were once the bread and butter of Shanzhai markets across China, but with the surge in
smartphone and tablet popularity
computer makers have been having a hard time, which could explain this
Android powered generation one
Macbook Air clone.
Although I'm not a fan of
Android powered PC's, I do see the advantages such as low processing power,
battery life the availability of APPs and the need for a low-cost computing rig for those on a
budget. It's seems that this Android
netbook ticks most of the boxes too with a price of just over $100 and a huge 10,000mAh
battery.
The
netbook also gets a
13.3-inch display with LED backlight, 1GB RAM and uses a Cortex A10
CPU clocked at 1.5Ghz rather than the an older (and more common) Intel Atom
CPU.
For anyone interested in this Android Macbook Air clone, the company making them is called Southern Video Electronics.
