Black Shark built its name on wild gaming phones that pushed the boundaries of cooling systems, LED lights, and performance tuning long before the rest of the industry caught up. The brand has returned, but not in the way most people expected. Instead of a new
gaming phone, Black Shark is expanding its wearable lineup with a tougher and more serious smartwatch. The new device is
called the Black Shark GS3 Ultra.
Meet the Black Shark GS3 Ultra - A Tough Smartwatch For Tough Use
The Black Shark GS3 Ultra follows the regular GS3 from 2024, but it feels like the version Black Shark really wanted to make. It retains the same 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a crisp 466 x 466 resolution, now surrounded by a thicker metal frame and four large physical buttons that resemble those found on an old-school gaming controller. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass with a 9H hardness rating, and Black Shark offers a selection of approximately 270 watch faces.
Durability is where the GS3 Ultra raises eyebrows. The watch still carries 5 ATM water resistance, yet the big upgrade is its full IP69K rating. That rating is used for equipment designed to survive high-pressure and high-temperature water jets. In simple words, people who crack, drown, or destroy watches regularly might finally have a survivor. Sand, mud, drops, and water sprays are not supposed to be a problem here.
The fitness side covers over 160 sports modes with automatic detection for common workouts. Heart rate, SpO2, sleep stages, and even naps are tracked. Stress monitoring is also included. Black Shark improved location tracking with dual-band GPS and support for BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and NavIC. Bluetooth calling is available, and ENC noise reduction helps keep calls understandable in busy places.
Battery life is another strong point. Black Shark lists up to 18 days of regular use and up to 45 days on standby. That puts the GS3 Ultra far away from smartwatches that need a charger every single night.
