Huawei has launched a new phone. The Mate 90 Pro Max Collector's Edition debuted at a big event in China. Yu Chengdong, who leads Huawei's phone division, showed off the device today. Prices start at 10,999 yuan, which is about $1,550 USD. The base model comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of space. A larger model with 1TB costs 12,999 yuan, or about $1,800 USD. Keep in mind that these currency changes are just estimates, not official store prices for other countries.

The New Chip and Battery

At the core of the phone is the Kirin 9050 Pro processor. Huawei states that this new chip uses a smart design layout, It packs more tiny parts into a small space, which helps the phone run much faster than older models.
Power comes from a large 6,800mAh battery built to last through heavy daily use. A special cooling system inside keeps the phone from getting too hot when you play games or run big apps.
The front features a large 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED screen with bright colors. To keep the phone safe from drops, Huawei uses tough Basalt Kunlun glass. It also has strong water and dust resistance to protect against accidents.

Cameras and Design

The camera setup is a big highlight, It includes a 50-megapixel main camera that can adjust its lens opening for different lighting. It also has a 40-megapixel wide lens and a huge 200-megapixel zoom lens. You can even attach a special zoom tool called the Ruiying Z10 for extra reach.
The back of the phone features a unique crystal ring design. It comes in four colors: Jade Green, Rose Gold, Crystal White, and Obsidian Black.
It runs on HarmonyOS 7 software. This system lets you easily share files with other devices and helps you track outdoor trails. Huawei has not yet confirmed if the phone will launch in other countries.
