Huawei have sent out invitations for their IFA launch at the same time naming their latest flagship the Huawei Mate S.
Huawei had recently received network approval in China for a device that looked like an update version of the Mate 7 Phablet, while elsewhere in China the same phone was spied on video and leaked photos.
It now looks as though we can refer to that mystery smartphone as the Huawei Mate S and we can expect to see it launch at IFA on the 2nd September.
Although Huawei haven’t divulged the specifications for the Huawei Mate S yet, we do have a few clues to go on which give us a heads up. According to the various leaks the Huawei Mate S will ship with a 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 display (similar to the Xiaomi Mi Note) and run off a Kirin 935 octacore processor with 3GB RAM. The rear camera will come from Sony and be a 13 mega-pixel IMX-278 (we cannot wait to see this sensor in action), and yet there will be a fingerprint scanner.
We’ll keep you updated with Huawei Mate S news as we receive it.
