At today's Lenovo Innovation and Technology Conference 2018, the company officially released the Windows 10 dual-screen notebook, namely the YOGA Book 2. Its biggest highlight is that the B side and C side are screens. That is to say, the electronic ink screen replaces the physical keyboard.

Like the previous generation, the YOGA Book 2 still uses a dual-screen design for the B and C faces, an E-Ink keyboard. Thus, the electronic ink screen is used instead of a traditional physical keyboard. Moreover, it can vibrate and sound when typing through a dynamic button image to provide a simulated button effect and vibration feedback.

In terms of appearance, the YOGA Book 2 is lighter and thinner than the first generation. The A side has a simple design. There is only a Lenovo logo. The B side carries a 10.8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a screen pixel density of 281ppi, a brightness of up to 400nit, and it’s touchable.

The electronic ink screen on the C side is 10.8 inches as well, but the pixel density is 204ppi. In terms of the use and writing experience of the C-face electronic ink screen, Windows Ink can achieve excellent collaboration with the E-Ink hand-painted board and supports for electronic recognition. It has 4096-level pressure-sensitive stroke recognition and supports intelligent optimization of graphics functions.
On the side, the YOGA Book 2 has a single SIM card slot that supports the Nano SIM card.

The YOGA Book 2 is equipped with an Intel Core i5 7Y54 processor. But there is also another version packed with the Intel Core M3 7Y30 processor. Both variants come with a 4GB of LPDDR3 memory. The body storage supports up to 256 GB SSD and up to 512GB of MicroSD card expansion. The battery inside lasts for 8.6 hours on a single charge.

The Yoga Book 2 has dimensions of 260.4 x 179.44 x 9.9mm and a weight of 775g. Thus, the weight has been increased from 690g to 790g, and the thickness has changed from 9.6mm to 9.9mm. It has a ‘360-degree strap’ hinge that allows you to flip all the way to tablet mode. So it's also a tablet. Users can not only write on the screen but also use the electronic ink screen as a PDF reader. Of course, this will save battery power. When not used as a display, the electronic ink screen doubles as a keyboard and Lenovo adds a slight isometric gradient to simulate the appearance of the 3D button. You can even turn the virtual trackpad on and off for extra space.
